How to Register to Exhibit your arts, crafts, or agricultural products
Entries for exhibits may be entered on Friday, Oct. 1, 2:00p.m.-7:00p.m. and Saturday, Oct. 2, 9:00a.m.-1:00p.m. The entry books will close Saturday, Oct. 2 at 1:00p.m. Only adult entries for Baked Boods will be accepted on Monday, October 4, 8:00a.m.-1:00p.m.
NO EXCEPTIONS. NO LATE ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED.

Educational Exhibits: There is no fee to enter. The exhibit must be designed to "free stand" and should include our 2010 theme: "It's Time For Fair Time." First priority is given to public high schools, 4-H clubs, and extension groups, then if space permits, all other community minded groups; junior high, elementary, private schools are eligible on a first come basis. To download an application to rent a booth in the Exhibit Hall, Click Here You can fill it out and mail it in. Each 10 feet wide by 8 feet deep booth is $200 for the run of the FAIR.

Rules & Regulations of the Pitt County American Legion Agricultural Fair 2010
1. The Pitt County American Legion Agricultural Fair, Inc., is not responsible for loss, injury, theft or damage by fire, lightning, wind or any agent, for any exhibit made. All exhibits in all departments and otherwise, are accepted only with that understanding. IN THE EVENT of a disaster such as tornado, hurricane, excessive rainfall, windstorm or fire affecting the gate receipts by a marked decrease in attendance, the association reserves the right to pay those exhibitors awarded prizes only fifty (50) percent of the listed premiums offered in all departments. The Fair may be closed by the Fair Manager if necessary during any of the events.
2. Entries for exhibits may be entered on Friday, Oct. 1, 2:00p.m.-7:00p.m. and Saturday, Oct. 2, 9:00a.m.-1:00p.m. The entry books will close Saturday, Oct. 2 at 1:00p.m. Only adult entries for Baked Boods will be accepted on Monday, October 4, 8:00a.m.-1:00p.m.

3. Exhibitors in all departments must have their products entered and ready for exhibition by 1:00p.m. Saturday, October 2.
4. All youth making an entry will receive an award ribbon.
5. No livestock or poultry exhibits can be taken from grounds until Sunday, October 10, 2010 - 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. This rule will be rigidly enforced.
6. No exhibits in Exhibit Buildings can be taken out until Sunday, Oct. 10th. The Exhibit Buildings will be open Sunday, October 10th, from 2:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m. for this purpose.
7. Only products listed in the department will receive premiums.
8. Departments with 3 or less exhibits will not be awarded a first place premium.
9. Produce or exhibits, except in the Livestock Department, that were exhibited at any previous Pitt County Fair will not be accepted.
10. No unworthy article will be awarded a premium. Where there is only one entry in a class, a blue ribbon will not be awarded.
11. All protests made by exhibitors will be considered by the management and this decision will be final.
12. All exhibits must be produced in Eastern North Carolina and exhibitors must reside in Eastern NC.
13. Only one entry per class will be accepted - except as provided in the Livestock and Poultry Departments.
14. No unworthy booth or exhibit will be awarded a premium.
15. The Exhibit Hall will be closed to ALL until the Fair opens on Monday, October 4th. at 5:30 p.m.
16. All exhibits must be picked up by Sunday afternoon, October 5th, by 5:00 p.m. Anything not picked up will be disposed of at the discretion of the Fair Manager.
17. The Exhibit Hall Building will be closed at 9:30 p.m. each night.
The Children’s Barnyard will close at 9:00p.m.
18. The Commercial Building will be closed at 11:45 p.m. each evening.
19. Premiums will be paid for Exhibit Hall winners on Sunday, Oct. 10, 2:00 - 5:00 p.m.
20. No premiums will be paid after 60 days starting from October 10, 2010. Premiums not collected after those 60 days will be considered a GIFT to the Pitt County American Legion Agricultural Fair, Inc.
21. Deteriorating produce may be discarded. An effort will be made to contact owner.
22. The Fair and the County of Pitt will not be responsible for any claims, losses, injuries, or damages done to, occasioned by, or arising from any animal or item exhibited and the exhibitor shall release, indemnify and hold harmless the Fair and the County of Pitt, its agents, employees, officers and contractors from all claims, losses, injuries and damages including, but not limited to reasonable attorney’s fees.
23. Drunkenness, quarreling or the use of profane or obscene language will not be permitted on the grounds. The fair reserves the right to expel any objectionable person or persons from the grounds upon the refund of admission price. Gang insignia is included in the 'objectionable' category.
24. The rules and regulations apply to each and every department of the Fair. Exhibitors and concessionaires are asked to familiarize themselves with all the rules. Any person or persons obstructing any passage or roadway on the fairgrounds with automobile or other vehicle shall forthwith remove same or be subject to the penalty of a misdemeanor and expulsion from the grounds.
25. Decision of the Judges shall be final and no appeal shall be considered except in case of protest in writing, with strong evidence of fraud or violation of the rules.
26. No exhibitor shall be within hearing distance of any judge during judging exhibits. Violation of this rule shall disqualify any exhibitors so acting, in the discretion of the judge.
27. The Fair will not be liable for typographical errors in the Premium Catalog.
